Want a little cleaner front end and the earlier breakup of the JJ EL844? This is our Low Output SRV Option Retube Kit for the Vox Night Train. It contains a matched pair of JJ EL844's for power to drop the overall output a couple decibels along with a 5751 for the input tube and a standard ECC83S for V2.

These amps use a cathodyne phase inverter so no need for a balanced PI tube. The 5751 is located closest to the input jack.

These amps are cathode biased, there is no bias adjustment to be made. The JJ EL844’s are a drop in replacement for EL84’s. The EL844’s will reduce the power output of the amp by a decibel or two which is very noticeable.
