Want a really smooth and rich tone with less grit? This is the Gold Pin Option Retube Kit for the Vox AC50CPH and AC50CP2 Amps. The preamp section uses four Gold Pin ECC83S's with one balanced for the phase inverter in V4. The default power tubes are the JJ Electronic E34L’s but you can configure this kit to use the JJ EL34II's, EL34’s, KT77’s or Big Bottle 6CA7’s by clicking on the "Customize" button.

The Balanced Gold Pin ECC83S is located in V4 farthest from the input jack.

If your amp is the Combo version you may want to consider using the EuroDamper tube damper rings for the two power tubes. Combo amps are very hard on tubes because of vibrations which can cause tube rattle with any brand of tube. These are available in the "Related Products” tab as a set of four and will greatly decrease tube rattle.

These are adjustable bias amps and all you need to check and adjust the bias is a Multimeter if you use the factory test points. The E34L's, EL34's, KT77's and 6CA7's all bias the same.
