Want a very smooth and rich tone with less grit? This is the Gold Pin Option Retube Kit for the Vingate VOX AC30 Top Boost and 90's era AC30 Reissue Amps. It contains a matched quad of JJ EL84's for power, a GZ34 rectifier tube along with one Gold Pin ECC82 and five Gold Pin ECC83S's with one being current balanced for the phase inverter in V6.

Just let us know in the comments section if your looking for max headroom, moderate or an early breakup so we can select a proper grade for the power tubes.

The Gold Pin ECC82 is the third tube away from the input jacks. The Balanced Gold Pin ECC83S is located in V6 farthest from the input jacks.

Combo amps are very hard on tubes because of vibrations which can cause tube rattle with any brand of tube. If your amp is the combo version and you play by yourself in a quiet environment or record with your amp you may want to consider using the EuroDamper tube damper rings for the four EL84’s and the GZ34. These are available in the "Related Products” tab as a set of four small damper rings and one large damper for the GZ34 and will greatly decrease tube rattle.

These amps are cathode biased, there is no bias adjustment to be made. The amount of clean headroom you’ll get from the power section is somewhat dictated by the grade of power tube used. A cooler grade of EL84’s will give you more clean headroom, whereas a warmer grade will give you earlier breakup. If you order online, leave us a note in the comments section letting us know your headroom preference (max headroom, middle of the road or early breakup).
