Want a very rich and smooth tone with less grit for your Iron Horse 40? This is the Gold Pin Option Retube Kit for the Iron Horse 40. The preamp section uses one Gold Pin ECC82 and two Gold Pin ECC83S's with one balanced for the phase inverter in V3. The default power tubes are a matched pair of the JJ E34L's but you can configure this kit to use the JJ EL34's, EL34 II's, KT77’s or Big bottle 6CA7's by clicking on the "Customize" button!

The Gold Pin ECC82 is located in V1 closest to the input jack and the Balanced Gold Pin ECC83S is located in V3 closest to the power tubes.

These amps are switchable from cathode bias mode to fixed bias mode. In the fixed bias mode the power tubes need to have the bias adjusted and all that you need to do this is a Multimeter. If you don't have one they are available under the "Related Products" tab.
