This kit contains a matched pair of the JJ 6V6S's with Double Mica spacers, a JJ GZ34 rectifier tube, a JJ ECC81 to replace the 12AT7, and four High Gain JJ ECC83S with one balanced for the phase inverter in V5. This kit is designed for players that want more crunch and a more aggressive overall sound when the amp is pushed.

JJ 6V6S Double Mica tubes are made solely for Eurotubes by JJ Electronic. These tubes were developed for us to greatly reduce the possibility of "tube rattle" when used in combo amps. All of our "Retube Kits" for combo amps are shipped with the Double Mica tubes at the same price as standard tubes.

Tube location info: The balanced ECC83S is located in V5 for the phase inverter, which is closest to the power tubes.  The ECC81 replaces the 12AT7 in V3.

Combo amps are very hard on tubes because of vibrations which can cause tube rattle with any brand of tube. If you play by yourself in a quiet environment or record with your amp you may want to consider using the EuroDamper tube damper rings for the two 6V6S power tubes and the rectifier tube. These are available in the "Related Products" tab as a set of three and will greatly decrease tube rattle.





These are cathode biased amps so the JJ 6V6's are plug and play.
