Want all the gain you can get? This is our High Gain Option Retube Kit for the Splawn Street Rod Combo amps. The preamp section uses four handpicked High Gain ECC83S's with one balanced for the phase inverter in V4. The default power tubes are a matched pair of the JJ Electronic E34L’s but you can configure this kit to use the JJ EL34II's, EL34’s, KT77’s or Big Bottle 6CA7’s by clicking on the "Customize" button!

The Balanced High Gain ECC83S is located closest to the power tubes in V4.

Combo amps are very hard on tubes because of vibrations which can cause tube rattle with any brand of tube. If you play by yourself in a quiet environment or record with your amp you may want to consider using the EuroDamper tube damper rings for the two power tubes. These are available under the "Related Products” tab as a pair and will greatly reduce tube rattle.

These are all adjustable bias amps and all you need to check and adjust the bias is a bias probe and a Multimeter, or our all-in-one Eurotubes "Pro One" bias probe that reads both the plate current and the plate voltage simultaneously. You can find all these under the Related Products Tab.

You can use the "Generic Bias Video" we made using a Marshall 800 for reference.
