This is the Standard Retube Kit for the Peavey ValveKing 50 Watt Combo Amps. The preamp section uses three standard JJ ECC83S's. The default power tubes are a matched pair of the JJ 6L6GC’s but you can configure this kit to use the JJ 5881’s by clicking on the "Customize" button!

Bias Notes

These amps use a split-load phase inverter circuit so using a balanced tube is not necessary. The pre amp tubes can be installed in any order.

These amps are fixed bias. Unlike the 5150/6505 series and Ultra amps, the ValveKings are fixed bias at a much warmer setting. With the moderate grade of JJ 6L6GC's or 5881's we select for these kits everything is "plug and play" and the bias falls right it where it should.
