It's no secret that Stevie played his amps cranked and preferred a little cleaner sound from the front end allowing you to hear more power tube breakup. This is our Low Output SRV Option Retube Kit and it contains a matched pair of JJ EL844's (to drop the output a couple decibels) along with a 5751 for V1 and a graded high current ECC83S for V2.

The graded high current ECC83S is located closest to the power tubes.

These amps are fixed biased, there is no bias adjustment to be made. The JJ EL844’s are a drop in replacement for EL84’s. The EL844’s will reduce the power output of the amp by a decibel or two.
