Want really smooth rich tone with less grit and the early breakup of the JJ EL844's from your Classic 20? This is our Low Output Gold Pin Option Retube Kit and it contains a matched pair of JJ EL844's (to drop the overall output a couple decibels) along with a standard Gold Pin ECC83S for V1 and a graded high current Gold Pin ECC83S for V2.

The graded high current Gold Pin ECC83S is located closest to the power tubes.

These amps are fixed biased, there is no bias adjustment to be made. The JJ EL844’s are a drop in replacement for EL84’s. The EL844’s will reduce the power output of the amp by a decibel or two.
