Want a very rich and smooth tone with less grit? This is the Gold Pin Option Retube Kit for the original Orange Rockerverb 50 Head and Combo Amps. The preamp section uses two standard Gold Pin ECC81's for the FX loop in V4 and the reverb in V5 along with four Gold Pin JJ ECC83S's with one balanced for the phase inverter in V6. The power tubes are a matched quad of the JJ 6V6S's.

The Gold Pin ECC81's are located in V4 and V5 in the back row. The Balanced Gold Pin ECC83S is located in V6 in the back row farthest away from the input jack.

Combo amps are very hard on tubes because of vibrations which can cause tube rattle with any brand of tube. If your amp is the combo version and you play by yourself in a quiet environment or record with your amp you may want to consider using the EuroDamper tube damper rings for the power tubes. These are available in the "Related Products” tab as a set of four. These will greatly decrease tube rattle.

These are all adjustable bias amps and all you need to check and adjust the bias is a bias probe and a Multimeter, or our all-in-one Eurotubes "Pro One" bias probe that reads both the plate current and the plate voltage simultaneously. You can find all these under the Related Products Tab.

You can use the "Generic Bias Video" we made using a Marshall 800 for reference.
