Like FAT mids and a great high end sparkle? This is our ECC803S V1 Option Retube Kit for the Orange Dark Terror, the Jim Root Terror and the OR15H Amps. It contains a matched pair of JJ EL84's for power, an ECC81 for the FX loop, a JJ Long Plate ECC803S for V1 for a little lower gain with big thick mids and a little more sparkle in the highs and two ECC83S's with one being current balanced for the phase inverter in V4.

Just let us know in the comments section if you're looking for an early breakup, a moderate breakup or a later breakup for more headroom which case we will choose the coolest grades we have available for the power tubes.

The Balanced ECC83S is located in V4 closest to the power tubes and the ECC803S is located in V1.

These amps are cathode biased, there is no bias adjustment to be made. The amount of clean headroom you’ll get from the power section is somewhat dictated by the grade of power tube used. A cooler grade of EL84’s will give you more clean headroom, whereas a warmer grade will give you earlier breakup. If you order online, leave us a note in the comments section letting us know your headroom preference (max headroom, middle of the road or early breakup).
