Want a very smooth and rich tone with less grit? This is the Gold Pin Option Retube Kit for the Orange AD140TC. The preamp section uses four Gold Pin ECC83S's with two of them balanced for the phase inverters in V3 and V4. The default power tubes are a matched quad of the JJ Electronic E34L’s but you can configure this kit to use the JJ EL34II's, EL34’s, KT77’s or Big Bottle 6CA7’s by clicking on the "Customize" button.

The Balanced Gold Pin ECC83S's are the two preamp tubes closest to the power tubes in V3 and V4.

This is the AD30HTC but you can use it for reference, the preamp tubes in the AD140TC are identical.

These are adjustable bias amps and all you need to check and adjust the bias is a bias probe and a Multimeter, or our all-in-one Eurotubes "Pro One" bias probe that reads both the plate current and the plate voltage simultaneously. The E34L's, EL34's, KT77's and 6CA7's all bias the same.

You can use the Generic bias video we did on a Marshall 800 and the procedure is the same.
