Want a very rich and smooth tone with less grit? This is our Gold Pin Option Retube Kit for the Mesa Mark Five 35 Amps. It contains six Gold Pin ECC83S's with one being current balanced for the phase inverter in V6. The default power tubes are a matched quad of the JJ EL84's but you can configure this kit to use the JJ EL844's for an earlier breakup by clicking on the "Customize" button!

The Balanced Gold Pin ECC83S is located in V6 closest to the power tubes.

These amps are fixed biased, there is no bias adjustment to be made. The amount of clean headroom youâ€™ll get from the power section is somewhat dictated by the grade of power tube used. A cooler grade of EL84â€™s will give you more clean headroom, whereas a warmer grade will give you earlier breakup. If you order online, leave us a note in the comments section letting us know your headroom preference (max headroom, middle of the road or early breakup).

The JJ EL844's are a lower power tube and will get you an earlier breakup.
