Looking for maximum gain? This is the High Gain Option Retube Kit for the Mesa Boogie TC-50. The preamp section uses a standard ECC81 for the loop in V5, a standard ECC83S for the verb in V6 along with five Handpicked High gain ECC83S's with with one being current balanced for the phase inverter in V7. The default power tubes are a matched pair of the JJ Electronic E34L's but you can configure this kit to use almost any matched pair of octal power tubes including the JJ EL34II's, EL34's, KT77's, Big Bottle 6CA7's, JJ 5881's and JJ 6V6S's by clicking on the "Customize" button!

The Balanced ECC83S is located in V7 which is in the back row farthest from the input jack. The ECC81 is located in V5.

If your amp is the combo version and you have chosen to use the JJ 6L6GC's then please let us know in the comments section and we will ship your kit with the special Double Mica 6L6GC's at no extra charge which will greatly reduce any tube rattle. JJ Electronic started building us a proprietary version of their 6L6GC (the 6L6GC-DM) in 2005 with extra layers of mica. This reinforces the plate structure and all but eliminates tube rattle symptoms. For other tubes such as E34L's, EL34II's, EL34's, KT77's and 6CA7's, we recommend using our EuroDamper rings. These are available under the "Related Products" tab as pairs and will greatly decrease tube rattle.

These are fixed and switchable from 6L6 to EL34. The E34L's, EL34's, EL34II's, 6CA7's, KT77's and 6V6S's run in the EL34 mode.
