Mesa Boogie Stiletto Trident Custom Retube Kit
Custom Kit
Want it your way? The "Custom Kit" is just that, you get to choose your power tubes from either the "Power-Tubes" category or the more exotic "Integrated Sextet" category plus all your preamp tubes! We'll give you all the tube types that we know work. Then you can choose your V1 tube and all your other preamp tubes. We give you all the positions and you fill them! We left the quantity fields open so that spares or multiple tubes could be ordered to experiment with.
Custom Kit
Power-Tubes
Any of the power tubes listed below are compatible with your amp. All our Mesa Retube Kits include power tubes that are hand selected to run perfectly in Mesa amps. We have extensive hands-on experience measuring the fixed bias points in these amps and what grade of tubes will achieve optimal performance. These amps are fixed bias with no adjustment and you can run the JJ E34L's, EL34's, EL34II's, KT77's or Big bottle 6CA7's. Please click on the “More Details” button for an explanation of the tonal differences.

Your V1 tube is your clean channel and second gain stage, it is the tube that shapes the tone of your amp. Any of these tubes will sound very good, but here is your chance to really dial in your tone. Read the "More details" for descriptions. We left the "Quantity Field" active for those of you who may want a couple different V1 tubes to experiment with.

V3 is the fourth and fifth stage gain stages, here you can again increase or decrease the gain or smooth it out with a Gold Pin tube. The only tubes we stay away from in V3 are the long plate tubes which are more prone to feeding back in the lead position.

Rectifier-tubes
If you run your Triple Rec in the "Tube Rectifier" mode then you have the choice of running 5U4GB's or the GZ34's. A lot of players do not care for the sag and lower power of the 5U4's but like the warmth in tone. The GZ34's are a great way to go if you want the power and punch you get in the Diode mode but want the warmth of the rectifier tube sound.
