Mesa Boogie Roadster and Trem-O-Verb Personal Fave Integrated Quad

A number of years ago a question kept coming up about what Bob liked best in his Dual Rec. Everyone that played his amp here in the studio commented about how lush the cleans were and how smooth the other channels were and how much gain it had. We decided to make the kit available to everyone and we called it the "Personal Fave". It became very popular and we soon adapted it for the Roadster and Trem-O-Verb amps.

The front end starts out with a long plate Gold Pin ECC803S for V1, followed by a Gold Pin ECC83S in V2, next comes a handpicked High gain ECC83S for V3, two standard ECC83S's in V4 and V5 and a Balanced ECC83S in V6. The result is Headroom and chime in Channel 1, Smooth and round in Channel 2, Completely over the top in channel 3 and 4.

For the power section the default selection is a matched pair of JJ 6V6S's for the middle two power tube sockets and a pair of the JJ KT77's for the outside two power tube sockets. These all run in the EL34 mode and in the tube rectifier mode with a pair of JJ GZ34's. With the Customize option you can choose from a range of integrated quads to go along with the Personal Fave front end if you want something a little different.
