Want a really rich smooth tone with less grit? This is our Gold Pin Option and it uses four standard Gold Pin ECC83S's in V1 through V4 and a current balanced Gold Pin ECC83S in V5.

The default power tubes are a matched quad of the JJ 6L6GC's. With the Customize option you can configure this kit to use the JJ 5881's, EL34’s, EL34II's, E34L's, KT77’s or Big Bottle 6CA7’s.

If your amp is the combo version then please let us know in the comments section and we will ship your kit with the special Double Mica 6L6GC’s which will greatly reduce any tube rattle.

The Balanced Gold Pin ECC83S is located in V5 farthest from the input jack.

All 6L6GC Combo amp Retube Kits are shipped with the Eurotubes Double Mica 6L6GC’s at no extra charge. JJ Electronic started building us a proprietary version of their 6L6GC (the 6L6GC-DM) in 2005 with extra layers of mica. This reinforces the plate structure and all but eliminates tube rattle symptoms. For all other tubes such as 5881's, EL34’s, EL34II’s, E34L’s, KT77’s and 6CA7’s we recommend using our EuroDamper rings if your amp is the combo version. These are available under the "Related Products” tab as a quad.


These amps are fixed bias with no adjustment other than the switch to go between EL34 mode and 6L6 mode. 6L6GC's are run in the 6L6 mode.

EL34's, 6V6S's, E34L's, KT77's and 6CA7's are run in the EL34 mode.
