Want all the gain you can get from your Express 5-50? The High Gain kit contains three handpicked High Gain ECC83S's for V1, V2 and V3, a standard ECC83S in V5 and a balanced ECC83S for the phase inverter in V4. Lots of gain!

The default power tubes are a matched pair of the JJ 6L6GC’s but you can configure this kit to use the JJ 5881’s by clicking on the "Customize" button!

If your amp is the combo version and you choose to go with the 6L6GC's then please let us know in the comments section and we will ship your kit with the special Double Mica 6L6GC’s which will greatly reduce any tube rattle.

The Balanced ECC83S is located in V4 which is the fourth preamp tube from the input jack. The three High Gain ECC83S's are located in V1 thru V3.

This kit is suitable for both the original Express 5-50 and the Express 5-50 Plus.

These amps are fixed biased, there is no bias adjustment to be made.
