Want all the gain you can get? This is the High Gain Option Retube Kit for the Mesa Dual Rectifier. The preamp section uses three High Gain ECC83S's for V1-V3, one standard ECC83S for V4 and one balanced ECC83S for the phase inverter (V5). The default power tubes are the JJ Electronic 6L6GC’s. With the Customize option you can configure this kit to use the JJ 6V6S's, 5881's, KT66's, 6550's, KT88's, EL34’s, EL34II's, E34L's, KT77’s or Big Bottle 6CA7’s. And if that isn't enough we also have Integrated Quad options!

You can add rectifier tubes if you use them by clicking the "Customize" button. You can run either the 5U4GB's or the GZ34's.

If your amp is the combo version then please let us know in the comments section and we will ship your kit with the special Double Mica 6L6GC’s which will greatly reduce any tube rattle.

V1 is located physically closest to the input jack on the front panel. The remaining positions go in numerical order with V5 being physically farthest from the input jack.

V1=ECC83S High Gain
V2=ECC83S High Gain
V3=ECC83S High Gain
V4=ECC83S Standard
V5=ECC83S Balanced

These amps are fixed bias with no adjustment other than the switch to go between EL34 mode and 6L6 mode. 6L6GC's, KT66's and KT88's are run in the 6L6 mode.

EL34's, 6V6S's, E34L's, KT77's and 6CA7's are run in the EL34 mode.
