We'll give you all the tube types that we know work. Then you can choose your V1 tube and all your other preamp tubes! We give you all the positions and you fill them!. We left the quantity fields open so that spares or multiple tubes could be ordered to experiment with.
Custom Kit
Power-Tubes
Any of the power tubes listed below are compatible with your amp. All our Mesa Retube Kits include power tubes that are hand selected to run perfectly in Mesa amps. We have extensive hands-on experience measuring the fixed bias points in these amps and what grade of tubes will achieve optimal performance. These amps are fixed bias with no adjustment other than the switch to go between EL34 mode and 6L6 mode. 6L6GC's, 5881's, KT66's, 6550's and KT88's are run in the 6L6 mode. EL34's, 6V6S's, EL34II's, E34L's, KT77's and 6CA7's are run in the EL34 mode. Please click on the “More Details” button for an explanation of the tonal differences. We left the "Quantity Field" active for those of you who may want a couple different types of power tubes to experiment with. **For the original Series I Single Rec amps there's no tube select switch so you must stick with the first five options.**

Integrated-Quads
So you want something different? Maybe even exotic? Well here ya go! We've been doing "Integrated Quads" since 1998 and all of the "Integrated Quads" listed below are compatible with your Dual Rec. The default power tubes are the KT66 / 6L6GC's. The quads using 6L6GC's, KT66's, 6550's and KT88's are run in the 6L6 mode and solid state diode mode or tube rectifier mode with either 5U4GB's or GZ34's. The last four quads using 6V6S's, EL34, E34L's, 6CA7's and KT77's should be run in the EL34 mode and the "Tube Rectifier " mode with either 5U4GB's or GZ34's.

Rectifier-tubes
If you run your Dual Rec in the "Tube Rectifier" mode then you have the choice of running 5U4GB's or the GZ34's. A lot of players do not care for the sag and lower power of the 5U4's but like the warmth in tone. The GZ34's are a great way to go if you want the power and punch you get in the Diode mode but want the warmth of the rectifier tube sound. If you're going to run any of the "Integrated Quads" using 6V6S's, EL34's, E34L's, 6CA7's or KT77's you need to run either the 5U4GB's of the GZ34's.

EuroDamper Tube Damper Rings
Combo amps are very hard on tubes because of vibrations which can cause tube rattle with any brand of tube. If your amp is the combo version and you play by yourself in a quiet environment or record with your amp you may want to consider using the EuroDamper tube damper rings. If your amp is the combo version then please let us know in the comments section. All Combo amp Retube Kits are shipped with the Eurotubes Double Mica 6L6GC’s at no extra charge. JJ Electronic started building us a proprietary version of their 6L6GC (the 6L6GC-DM) in 2005 with extra layers of mica. This reinforces the plate structure and all but eliminates tube rattle symptoms. For all other tubes such as, 6V6S’s, EL34’s, KT77's, 6CA7's and E34L’s, we recommend using our EuroDamper rings. These are 5.00 each.

Spring & Cap style tube retainers
If your amp is the combo version and you want to use any of the large base tubes (6550, KT66 and KT88) then you may want to include a pair of the spring and cap style tube retainers. They are easy to mount and use the same screws that the stock Bear Trap retainers use.
