Want it your way? The "Custom Kit" is just that, you get to choose all of your preamp tubes! We give you all the positions and you fill them!. We left the quantity fields open so that spares or multiple tubes could be ordered to experiment with. The default power tubes are the JJ KT66's.

The Vintage / Modern amps come with KT66's, we have tried 6L6's and we feel that KT66's are far better in this amp and the JJ KT66's are a nice improvement!

V1 is the first gain stage included in the signal path on both dynamic ranges and first gain stage and is the tube that shapes the tone of your amp. Any of these tubes will sound very good, but here is your chance to really dial in your tone. Read the "More details" for descriptions. We left the "Quantity Field" active for those of you who may want a couple different V1 tubes to experiment with. If your amp is a combo version or you want to use the correct tube retainers then the "Spring and Cap" style retainers are available. These mount right on the amp using the stock screws and allow you to correctly retain the stock tubes or use any full base KT66.
