Want all the gain you can get and the earlier breakup of the JJ EL844's? This kit contains a matched pair of JJ EL844's to drop the overall output a couple decibels for the power section. Four handpicked High gain ECC83S's with one balanced for the phase inverter in V4. Searing!

The Balanced High Gain ECC83S is located in V4 closest to the power tubes.

Combo amps are very hard on tubes because of vibrations which can cause tube rattle with any brand of tube. If you play by yourself in a quiet environment or record with your amp you may want to consider using the EuroDamper tube damper rings for the two EL844's. These are available in the "Related Products” tab as a set of two and will greatly decrease tube rattle.

When setting the bias for JJ EL844's it needs to be set between .300 to .380 Volts. All you need is a Multimeter to do this.
