Custom Kit
Want it your way? The "Custom Kit" is just that, you have a choice of the JJ EL84's for power or the JJ EL844's which drop the output down a couple of decibels. You can totally customize all the preamp tubes! You can choose your V1 tube and all your other preamp tubes! We give you all the positions and you fill them!. We left the quantity fields open so that spares or multiple tubes could be ordered to experiment with.

V1
Your V1 tube is your input and first gain stage and is the tube that shapes the tone of your amp. Any of these tubes will sound very good, but here is your chance to really dial in your tone. You can increase or decrease the gain. You can even leave the gain in the clean as is and tame the Red channel by using an ECC823 in V1. You can smooth things out wit a Gold Pin tube or fatten the mids and add sparkle with a Long Plate ECC803S. Read the "More details" for descriptions. We left the "Quantity Field" active for those of you who may want a couple different V1 tubes to experiment with.

V3
V3 is the final gain stage and cathode follower so here we tend to stay with 12AX7 / ECC83 type tubes. You can maintain the gain, increase it or smooth it out with a Gold Pin tube. The only tubes we stay away from in V3 are the long plate tubes which are more prone to feeding back in the lead position.

EuroDamper Tube Damper Rings
Combo amps are very hard on tubes because of vibrations which can cause tube rattle with any brand of tube. If your amp is the combo version and you play by yourself in a quiet environment or record with your amp you may want to consider using the EuroDamper tube damper rings. These are 5.00 each.
