Looking for a vintage vibe? This is the ECC803S V1 Option Retube Kit for the Marshall 900 100 Watt 4100 series amps using 5881's. The preamp section uses a JJ Long Plate ECC803S for V1 for a little lower gain with big thick mids and a little more sparkle in the highs, a standard ECC83S for V2 and a balanced ECC83S for the phase inverter in V3. The default power tubes are the JJ Electronic 6L6GC’s but you can configure this kit to use the JJ 5881’s by clicking on the "Customize" button.

If your amp is a combo version then please let us know in the comments section and we will ship your kit with the special Double Mica 6L6GC’s which will greatly reduce any tube rattle.

A very small number of the 4100 series amps produced from 1990 thru 1991 used EL34's. If your 4100 series Marshall came with EL34's or the amp has been modded to use EL34's (Screen grid resistors & bias resistor swap) then please use the kits for the 2100 series amps.

The Balanced ECC83S is located closest to the power tubes in V3 and the ECC803S is located in V1.

If your amp is a combo amp then please let us know in the comments section. All Combo amp Retube Kits are shipped with the Eurotubes Double Mica 6L6GC’s at no extra charge. JJ Electronic started building us a proprietary version of their 6L6GC (the 6L6GC-DM) in 2005 with extra layers of mica. This reinforces the plate structure and all but eliminates tube rattle symptoms.

These are all adjustable bias amps and all you need to check and adjust the bias is a bias probe and a Multimeter, or our all-in-one Eurotubes "Pro One" bias probe that reads both the plate current and the plate voltage simultaneously. You can find all these under the Related Products Tab.
