Looking for a vintage vibe with FAT mids and a real sparkle? This is the ECC803S V1 Option Retube Kit for the Jet City 20H and 20HV Heads. The preamp section uses a JJ Long Plate ECC803S for V1 for a little lower gain with big thick mids and a little more sparkle in the highs, a standard ECC83S for V2 and a balanced ECC83S for the phase inverter in V3. The default power tubes are a matched pair of the JJ EL84's but you can configure this kit to use the JJ EL844's to drop the power output a couple decibels by clicking on the "Customize" button!

The Balanced ECC83S is located in V3 closest to the power tubes and the ECC803S is located in V1.

These amps are adjustable bias. All you need to check and set the bias is one of our 9 pin bias probes with a Multimeter, or our all-in-one 9 pin "Pro One" bias probe (which reads plate voltage and plate current simultaneously). These are available under the "Related Products" tab.

EL84's should bias up to between 22 to 26 mA per tube.
The JJ EL844's are a 9 watt tube and should bias up to between 16 to 20 mA per tube.
