Looking for a vintage vibe with FAT mids and a real sparkle? This is the ECC803S V1 Option Retube Kit for the Hughes & Kettner Tube 100 Heads and Combo Amps. It uses a Long Plate ECC803S for V1 along with three ECC83S's with one being current balanced for the phase inverter in V4. The default power tubes are a matched quad of the JJ Electronic E34L’s but you can configure this kit to use the JJ EL34II's, EL34’s, KT77’s or Big Bottle 6CA7’s by clicking on the "Customize" button!

The Balanced ECC83S is located in V3 farthest from the input jack and the ECC803S is located in V1.

These amps are adjustable bias. If you use the HK shunt method all that's necessary is a Multimeter. A more accurate and far easier method is to use one of our octal bias probes with a Multimeter, or our all-in-one octal "Pro One" bias probe (which reads plate voltage and plate current simultaneously). These are available under the "Related Products” tab.
