Want all the gain you can get? This is our High Gain Option Retube Kit for the Gibson GA 30RVH and GA 30RV Heads and Combo Amps. It contains two ECC81's to replace the 12AT7's, a standard ECC83S for the verb in V6 along with four handpicked High Gain ECC83S's with one of them being current balanced for the phase inverter in V7. The default power tubes are a matched quad of the JJ EL84's but you can configure this kit to use the JJ EL844's for an earlier breakup by clicking on the "Customize" button!

The Balanced High Gain ECC83S is located in V7 closest to the power tubes and the two ECC81's are located in V4 and V5 and the standard ECC83S is located in V6.

Combo amps are very hard on tubes because of vibrations which can cause tube rattle with any brand of tube. If you play by yourself in a quiet environment or record with your amp you may want to consider using the EuroDamper tube damper rings for the four power tubes. These are available under the "Related Products” tab as a set of four.

These amps are cathode bias so both the EL84's and EL844's are plug and play.
