Looking for more punch, warmth and definition? This is the Standard Retube Kit for the Framus Cobra. The preamp section uses five ECC83S's with one balanced for the phase inverter in V5. The default power tubes are a matched quad of the JJ Electronic E34L's but you can configure this kit to use almost any matched quad of octal power tubes including the JJ EL34II's, EL34’s, KT77’s, Big Bottle 6CA7’s, JJ 5881's, 6550's, KT66's or KT88's by clicking on the "Customize" button!

The Balanced ECC83S is located in V5 which is located farthest from the input jack.

If you choose to use the KT66's, 6550's or KT88's and your amp has the "Bear Trap" style tube retainers and you don't want to remove or flatten them out then you may want to swap these out for the "Spring and Cap" style retainers. These are 10.00 a quad or set of four and mount using the same screws as the stock retainers. These are also available under the "Related Products" tab as pairs.

These are adjustable bias amps and all you need to set the bias is a Multimeter. You can find all these under the Related Products Tab.
