Want a very rich and smooth tone with less grit? This is our Gold Pin Option Retube kit for the later model Vibro King. This kit uses a JJ 6V6S for the reverb driver and five of the Gold Pin ECC83S's with one being current balanced for the phase inverter in V5. The default power tubes are a matched pair of the JJ 6L6GC’s but you can configure this kit to use the JJ 5881’s by clicking on the "Customize" button.

Tube location info: The Balanced Gold Pin ECC83S is located in V5 and the 6V6S is located in V3.

All Combo amp Retube Kits are shipped with the Eurotubes Double Mica 6L6GC’s at no extra charge. JJ Electronic started building us a proprietary version of their 6L6GC (the 6L6GC-DM) in 2005 with extra layers of mica. This reinforces the plate structure and all but eliminates tube rattle symptoms. For all other tubes such as GZ34’s, 5U4GB’s, 6V6S’s, EL34’s, E34L’s etc, we recommend using our EuroDamper rings.

The Vibro Kings are adjustable bias and all you need to adjust the bias is a bias probe and a multimeter or the Eurotubes "Pro One". All of these are are available in the "Related Products" tab.

You can use the Deluxe Reverb bias video for reference. We typically bias these amps between 36 to 44mA with the JJ 6L6GC's or 33 to 40mA for 5881's.
