Need more gain? This kit contains a JJ GZ34, a pair of JJ 6L6GC's in a cooler grade to get the Class A bias just right. Two hand picked high gain ECC83S's for V1 and V2, two standard ECC83S's for V3 and V5 and one balanced ECC83S for the phase inverter in V6 with a standard ECC81 for V4. Make your Prosonic growl!

Tube location info: The balanced ECC83S is located in V6 closest to the power tubes, with two high gain ECC83S's for V1 and V2. The ECC81 replaces the 12AT7 in V4.

All Combo amp Retube Kits are shipped with the Eurotubes Double Mica 6L6GC’s at no extra charge. JJ Electronic started building us a proprietary version of their 6L6GC (the 6L6GC-DM) in 2005 with extra layers of mica. This reinforces the plate structure and all but eliminates tube rattle symptoms.

All you need to adjust the bias on a Prosonic is a bias probe and a multimeter or the Eurotubes "Pro One". All of these are are available in the "Related Products" tab.

You can use the "Generic JCM800" bias video for reference. While the Prosonic is quite different, the process and tools are identical. We typically bias Prosonic's in the A/B mode between 36 to 44mA with the JJ 6L6GC's. The bias pot is located inside the chassis.
