Do you like fat mids and little extra high end sparkle? This is our ECC803S Retube Kit for the Silverface Dual Showman Reverb heads. This kit contains four Long Plate JJ ECC803S's to replace the 12AX7's and two JJ ECC81's with one of them being current balanced for the phase inverter in V6 next to the power tubes. The JJ ECC803S's are a little lower in gain than the ECC83S's we use in our standard kit. They have a very fat mid and a little hotter high end which gives a very vintage tone with lots of chime. The default power tubes are the JJ Electronic 6L6GC’s but you can configure this kit to use the JJ 5881’s by clicking on the "Customize" button.

Tube location info: The Balanced ECC81 is located in V6 closest to the power tubes and the standard ECC81 is located in V3.

These amps are one of the rare Fender amps that are fixed bias so the only way you can adjust it is to replace the final bias resistor with a value that gets the bias where you want it. This is why most players will simple mod it or have it modded to be adjustable bias.

If your amp is bias modded then all you need to adjust the bias is a bias probe and a multimeter or the Eurotubes "Pro One". All of these are available in the "Related Products" tab.

You can use the Deluxe Reverb bias video for reference. We typically bias Twin Reverb amps between 35 to 40mA with the JJ 6L6GC's.
