Fender Blues Junior Tweed Option

This is our Tweed Option kit for the Fender Blues Junior, it contains a matched pair of JJ EL84's for power along with a JJ 12AY7 for V1, a standard ECC83S's for V2 and a balanced ECC83S for the phase inverter in V3. The Tweed Option will drop the gain down a bit more than the SRV Option allowing you to get more power tube breakup at higher volumes. The JJ 12AY7 has a fat warm tone with a big shimmering sparkle in the high end!

Just let us know in the comments section if your looking for max headroom, moderate or an early breakup so we can select a proper grade for the power tubes.

The Balanced ECC83S is located closest to the power tubes and the 12AY7 is located in V1.

These amps are fixed biased, there is no bias adjustment to be made. The amount of clean headroom you’ll get from the power section is somewhat dictated by the grade of power tube used. A cooler grade of EL84’s will give you more clean headroom, whereas a warmer grade will give you earlier breakup. If you order online, leave us a note in the comments section letting us know your headroom preference (max headroom, middle of the road or early breakup).
