Fender Blues Junior Low Output Tweed Option

Want that vintage Tweed tone and an earlier breakup? This is our Low Output Tweed Option. This kit contains a matched pair of JJ EL844's to drop the overall output a couple decibels, a JJ 12AY7 for V1, a standard ECC83S's for V2 along with a balanced ECC83S for the phase inverter in V3. The Tweed Option drops the preamp gain a bit more than the SRV option allowing even more power tube breakup from the EL844's.

The Balanced ECC83S is located closest to the power tubes and the 12AY7 is located in V1.

These amps are fixed biased, there is no bias adjustment to be made. The amount of clean headroom you’ll get from the power section is somewhat dictated by the grade of power tube used. The JJ EL844’s are a drop in replacement for EL84’s. The EL844’s will reduce the power output of the amp by a decibel or two.
