Do you like fat mids a more vintage tone and little extra high end sparkle? This is our ECC803S Retube Kit for a 1964 thru 1971 Blackface or Silverface Fender Bassman or Bandmaster. This kit contains three Long Plate ECC803S's and a balanced ECC81 for the phase inverter in V4. The JJ ECC803S's are a little lower in gain than the ECC83S and have a very fat mid and a little hotter high end for a real vintage tone. The default power tubes are a matched pair of the JJ 6L6GC’s but you can configure this kit to use the JJ 5881’s or even the JJ 6V6S’s by clicking on the "Customize" button.

All of these are available in the "Related Products" tab. If your amp has the stock "balance" bias circuit we highly recommend modding it to be fully adjustable bias. You can use the Deluxe Reverb bias video for reference. We typically bias these amps between 36 to 44mA with the JJ 6L6GC's, or 33 to 40mA for 5881's and between 23 to 28mA with the JJ 6V6S's. The bias pot is located inside the chassis.
