Fender 68 Custom Vibrolux Reverb Standard Retube Kit

Looking for warmth and definition? This is our standard Retube kit for the Fender 68 Custom Vibrolux Reverb Amps. This kit contains four ECC83S's and two ECC81's with one being a current balanced ECC81 for the phase inverter in V6. The default power tubes are a matched pair of the JJ 6L6GC’s but you can configure this kit to use the JJ 5881’s by clicking on the "Customize" button.

Tube location info: The standard ECC81 is located in V3 and the Balanced ECC81 is located in V6 closest to the power tubes.

All Combo amp Retube Kits are shipped with the Eurotubes Double Mica 6L6GC’s at no extra charge. JJ Electronic started building us a proprietary version of their 6L6GC (the 6L6GC-DM) in 2005 with extra layers of mica. This reinforces the plate structure and all but eliminates tube rattle symptoms. If you choose to go with the JJ 5881's then you may want to use a pair of our EuroDamper rings if you play by yourself or record with the amp. These are available under the "Related Products" tab.

These are adjustable bias amps and all you need to set the bias is a bias probe and a multimeter or one of our "Pro One" bias probes.

You can use the Deluxe Reverb bias video for reference. We typically bias these amps between 36 to 44mA with the JJ 6L6GC's, or 33 to 40mA for 5881's.
