Want a very smooth and rich tone with less grit? This is our Gold Pin Option Retube Kit for the Epiphone Galaxie 10 Combo Amps. It uses a single Gold Pin ECC83S for the front end and the default power tube is a single JJ 6L6GC. With the Customize option you can configure this kit to use a JJ 5881 or a JJ 6V6S which will drop the power output a couple decibels (ideal for players wanting decreased headroom/output).

The Gold Pin ECC83S replaces the 12AX7.

All 6L6GC Combo amp Retube Kits are shipped with the Eurotubes Double Mica 6L6GC’s at no extra charge. JJ Electronic started building us a proprietary version of their 6L6GC (the 6L6GC-DM) in 2005 with extra layers of mica. This reinforces the plate structure and all but eliminates tube rattle symptoms. For all other tubes such as 5881's and 6V6S's we recommend using our EuroDamper rings.

These amps are cathode bias so the 6L6GC, 5881 and 6V6S tubes are all plug and play.
