Want it your way? The "Custom Kit" is just that, you get to choose your power tubes from the "Power-Tubes" category and all your preamp tubes! We'll give you all the tube types that we know work. Then you can choose your V1 tube and all your other preamp tubes! We give you all the positions and you fill them!. We left the quantity fields open so that spares or multiple tubes could be ordered to experiment with.

All of these tubes are compatible with your amp. If you remove the vent on the Tweaker Heads you can configure this kit to use almost any set of power tubes including the JJ EL34II's, EL34’s, KT77’s, Big Bottle 6CA7’s, JJ 6V6S's, 5881's, 6550's, KT66's or KT88's. Please click on the “More Details” button for an explanation of the tonal differences. We left the quantity fields open in case you want to try several different pairs. ******Note: Tweaker combo amps place the tubes horizontally and they just barely clear the speaker (poor design) so we do not recommend using the big bottle tubes such as KT66's, 6550's and KT88's!

EuroDamper Tube Damper Rings
Combo amps are very hard on tubes because of vibrations which can cause tube rattle with any brand of tube. If your amp is the combo version and you play by yourself in a quiet environment or record with your amp you may want to consider using the EuroDamper tube damper rings for the power tubes because almost rest on the speaker!

Spring & Cap style tube retainers
If you choose to use the KT66's, 6550's or KT88's and your amp has the "Bear Trap" style tube retainers you may want to swap these out for the "Spring and Cap" style retainers. These are 5.00 a pair and mount using the same screws as the stock retainers.
