Want a very rich and smooth tone with less grit? This is our Gold Pin Option Retube kit for the Carr Viceroy. This kit contains one standard Gold Pin ECC83S for V1, a standard Gold Pin ECC81 for V2, a standard Gold Pin 5751 for V3 and current balanced Gold Pin ECC83S for the phase inverter in V4. The default power tubes are a matched pair of the JJ 6L6GC’s but you can configure this kit to use the JJ 5881’s by clicking on the "Customize" button.

Bias Notes

The Balanced Gold Pin ECC83S is located in V4 closest to the power tubes and the Gold Pin 5751 is located in V3. The Gold Pin ECC81 is located in V2.

The drawing below shows a 12AX7 for V3, however Carr recommends a 5751.

These are cathode bias amps so the power tubes are plug and play.
