Want your clean channel to have fat mids and a real sparkling high end, but you also want your drive channel to get all the gain it can? This is our High Gain Option Retube kit for the Carr Slant 6V. This kit contains a Long Plate ECC803S for the clean channel in V1, two handpicked High Gain ECC83S's for V3 and V4, a standard ECC83S for V2 and two ECC81's one being current balanced for the phase inverter in V6. The power section includes a JJ GZ34 rectifier tube and a matched quad of the JJ 6V6S’s.

The Balanced ECC81 is located in V6 closest to the power tubes and the standard ECC81 is located in V5. The two High gain ECC83S's are located in V3 and V4, and the ECC803S is located in V1.

Combo amps are very hard on tubes because of vibrations which can cause tube rattle with any brand of tube. If you play by yourself in a quiet environment or record with your amp you may want to consider using the EuroDamper tube damper rings for the two 6V6S’s. These are available in the "Related Products” tab as a set of four and will greatly decrease tube rattle.

The outside two power tubes are cathode bias so these are plug and play. The inside two power tubes are adjustable bias and all you need to check and adjust the bias is a Multimeter. If you don't have one these are available under the "Related Products" tab.
