Want a very rich and smooth tone with less grit? This is our Gold Pin Option Retube Kit for the Carr Mercury. It uses two Gold Pin ECC83S's and a Gold Pin ECC81 for the front end. The default power tube is a single JJ E34L. However you can configure this kit to use a JJ EL34II, EL34, KT77, 6CA7, 6L6GC, 5881, KT66, 6550 or KT88 by clicking on the "Customize" button!

The Gold Pin ECC81 replaces the 12AT7.

If you choose to go with the JJ E34L, EL34II, EL34, KT77, 6CA7 or 5881 and you play by yourself in a quiet environment or record with the amp you may want to consider using one of the EuroDamper tube damper rings.

All that's necessary to check and adjust the bias is a Multimeter. If you don't have one these are available under the "Related Products" tab.
