Want to add a little warmth to your V22? This is our Standard Retube Kit for the Bugera V22. It contains a matched pair of JJ EL84's for power along with a three standard ECC83S's.

These amps use a short tail phase inverter circuit so using a balanced tube is not necessary. The preamp tubes can go in any location.

Combo amps are very hard on tubes because of vibrations which can cause tube rattle with any brand of tube. If you play by yourself in a quiet environment or record with your amp you may want to consider using the EuroDamper tube damper rings for the two power tubes. These are available in the "Related Products” tab as a set of two and these will greatly decrease tube rattle.

The non-Infinium amps are adjustable bias and they do have test points. Unfortunately Bugera amps in general are copies of the Peavey amps and they chose to use bias test points that measure the negative voltage in the bias circuit rather than the actual plate current draw of the tubes. This is not a very accurate way to set the bias.

The most accurate way to set the bias is to use a bias probe and a Multimeter, or our all-in-one Eurotubes "Pro One" bias probe that reads both the plate current and the plate voltage simultaneously. These are available under the "Related Products" tab.
