Looking for a vintage vibe? This is the ECC803S V1 Option Retube Kit for the Bogner ATMA amps. The preamp section uses a JJ Long Plate ECC803S for V1 for a little lower gain with big thick mids and a little more sparkle in the highs, a standard ECC83S for V2 and a balanced ECC83S for the phase inverter in V3. The power tubes are a matched pair of the JJ EL84's along with a JJ EZ81 Rectifier tube.

The Balanced ECC83S is located closest to the power tubes in V3 and the ECC803S is located in V1.

These are cathode bias amps with no adjustment. The amount of clean headroom you’ll get from the power section is somewhat dictated by the grade of power tube used. A cooler grade of EL84’s will give you more clean headroom, whereas a warmer grade will give you earlier breakup. If you order online, leave us a note in the comments section letting us know your headroom preference (max headroom, middle of the road or early breakup).
