Product Details

This kit is for players who want reduced gain but also need the smooth rich tone of the Gold Pin tubes. This is our Gold Pin SRV kit and it uses a Gold Pin JJ 5751 for V1 which is in-between an ECC81 and a Gold Pin ECC83S along with a Matched Pair of our special Double Mica JJ 6L6GC's for the power section but you can configure this kit to use the JJ 5881's for a reduction in power by clicking on the "Customize" button.

The Gold Pin 5751 replaces the 12AX7 in the first position.

Combo amps are very hard on tubes because of vibrations which can cause tube rattle with any brand of tube. The default power tube for this kit are our special Double mica JJ 6L6GC's which all but kill any tube rattle.

If you choose to go with the 5881's and you play by yourself in a quiet environment or record with your amp you may want to consider using the Large EuroDamper tube damper rings for the two power tubes. These are available in the "Related Products” tab as a set of two and will greatly decrease tube rattle.

These amps are adjustable bias. If you don't know the bias procedure you can contact us by email for assistance.
