Bad Cat Hot Cat 15R ECC803S V1 Option

Product Details

Do you like FAT mids and some extra high end sparkle? This is our ECC803S V1 Option Retube Kit for the Bad Cat Hot Cat 15R Heads and Combo Amps. It uses a Long plate ECC803S for V1 along with six ECC83S's with one being current balanced for the phase inverter and a GZ34 rectifier tube. The default power tubes are a matched pair of the JJ EL84's. With the Customize option you can configure this kit to use the JJ EL844's which will drop the power output a couple decibels (ideal for players wanting decreased headroom/output).

The Balanced ECC83S is located in closest to the power tubes and the ECC803S is located closest to the input jack.

If your amp is the combo version and you play by yourself in a quiet environment you may want to consider using our EuroDamper rings for the two power tubes. These are available under the "Related Products" tab and will greatly decrease tube rattle.

These amps are cathode bias so both the EL84's and EL844's are plug and play.
