Want a very smooth and rich tone with less grit? This is our Gold Pin Option Retube Kit for the Bad Cat Black Cat 30R Heads and Combo Amps. It uses six Gold Pin ECC83S's with one being current balanced for the phase inverter, a Gold Pin EF806 to replace the EF86 in V3 and a GZ34 rectifier tube. The default power tubes are a matched quad of the JJ EL84's. With the Customize option you can configure this kit to use the JJ EL844's which will drop the power output a couple decibels (ideal for players wanting decreased headroom/output).

The Balanced Gold Pin ECC83S is located in closest to the power tubes and the Gold Pin EF806 is the third tube away from the input jack.

If your amp is the combo version and you play by yourself in a quiet environment you may want to consider using our EuroDamper rings for the four power tubes and the EF806. These are available under the "Related Products" tab and will greatly decrease tube rattle.

These amps are cathode bias so both the EL84's and EL844's are plug and play.
