Want all the gain you can get? This is the High Gain Option Retube Kit for the B52 AT100. The preamp section uses one ECC81 to replace the 12AT7, a standard ECC83S for V11 and five handpicked High gain ECC83S's with one balanced for the phase inverter in V5. The power section uses a GZ34 Rectifier tube and the default power tubes are a matched quad of the JJ 6L6GC’s but you can configure this kit to use the JJ 5881’s by clicking on the "Customize" button! Note: The JJ 5881's are a 23 watt tube and the B52 AT100's when run in the class "A" mode run 6L6's very hot, so the 5881's would be running VERY hot. For this reason we recommend running the 5881's in the A/B mode and biasing at 70% based on 23 watts.

The ECC81 is located in V10 which is actually the fifth preamp tube away from the input jack. The standard ECC83S is located in V11 which is the sixth preamp tube from the input jack. The Balanced High Gain ECC83S is located in V5 which is actually the seventh or last preamp tube farthest from the input jack.
