Looking for a more vintage tone with fat mids and a real sparkle? This is the ECC803S V1 Option Retube Kit for the B52 AT100. The preamp section uses one ECC81 to replace the 12AT7, a Long Plate ECC803S for V1 for a little lower gain with big thick mids and a little more sparkle in the highs, and five ECC83S's with one balanced for the phase inverter in V5. The power section uses a GZ34 Rectifier tube and the default power tubes are a matched quad of the JJ 6L6GC’s but you can configure this kit to use the JJ 5881’s by clicking on the "Customize" button! Note: The JJ 5881's are a 23 watt tube and the B52 AT100's when run in the class "A" mode run 6L6's very hot, so the 5881's would be running VERY hot. For this reason we recommend running the 5881's in the A/B mode and biasing at 70% based on 23 watts.
