Ampeg R212R Reverberocket Tweed Option

Product Details

This is our Tweed Option Retube Kit for the Ampeg Reverberocket R-12R & R-212R Reissue amps. It contains a JJ 12AY7 for V1 and two ECC83S’s with one being current balanced for the phase inverter in V3. The Tweed Option will drop the gain down a bit more than the SRV Option allowing you to get more power tube breakup at higher volumes. The JJ 12AY7 has a fat warm tone with a big shimmering sparkle in the high end! The default power tubes are a matched pair of the JJ 6L6GC's but you can configure this kit to use the JJ 5881's or even the JJ 6V6S's to drop the power output a couple decibels by clicking on the "Customize" button!

The Balanced ECC83S is located in V3 which is closest to the power tubes and the 12AY7 is located in V1.

These amps are adjustable bias. All you need to check and set the bias is one of our 8 pin bias probes with a Multimeter, or our all-in-one 8 pin "Pro One" bias probe (which reads plate voltage and plate current simultaneously). These are available under the "Related Products" tab.
