Want the lower gain SRV tone with the smooth Gold Pin sound? This kit uses a Gold Pin JJ 5751 for V1 which is in-between an ECC81 and an ECC83S in gain, a standard Gold Pin ECC83S for V2, a single JJ 6V6S for power, a JJ 5Y3S.

Just let us know in the comments section if you're looking for an early breakup, a moderate breakup or a later breakup for more headroom in which case we will choose the coolest grade we have available for the power tube.

Tube location info: The Gold Pin 5751 is located farthest from the 5Y3S.

Combo amps are very hard on tubes because of vibrations which can cause tube rattle with any brand of tube. If you play by yourself in a quiet environment or record with your amp you may want to consider using the EuroDamper tube damper rings for the 6V6S and the 5Y3S. These are available in the "Related Products” tab as a set of two and will greatly decrease tube rattle.

These are cathode biased so no adjustment is necessary.
