ECC802S Gold Pin

The JJ ECC802S is a long plate and gold pin version of the classic 12AU7. These tubes utilize an extremely long plate design that combined with the gold pin processing (which includes an additional selection and processing of internal components), results in a very different tonal signature compared to their classic ECC82's.
These tubes have added detail in the mids and a very present high end. This gives them a very open sound with an almost vocal Character. While they make great drivers we've also been very pleased using these in studio gear (mic pre's, buffers, etc...) for vocals and acoustic instruments.
All our preamp tubes are stringently tested for noise and microphonics using Amplitrex testers driving an external amp. There is no extra charge for low noise and microphonics testing like with other tube vendors. If a tube does not pass our strict performance criteria it's tossed or sent back to JJ Electronic for evaluation.
